Jessica Joines, author and founder of the Women’s Purpose Community, recently joined 50% with Marcylle Combs to discuss her journey from fear to love and her work helping women lead purpose-driven lives. Jessica’s transformative story on trusting inner wisdom offers practical insights for those seeking to overcome limitations and align with their full potential.
Moving Beyond Fear
For Jessica, fear isn’t just the typical "fight-or-flight" feeling—it’s the pervasive self-doubt, scarcity mindset, and limitations that so often hold people back. “We get really aligned with our inner critic...and we anchor a life to that,” Jessica said, describing how societal and ancestral programming can reinforce these patterns.
Breaking free from this fear involves embracing the belief that greater possibilities are always available. “Those dreams in your heart are there to be pursued, but it takes a lot of walking through fear to achieve them,” she explained.
The Power of Inner Truths
Jessica’s turning point came during a period of deep meditation, where she received a life-changing insight: “The truth in your heart is more real than the fear in your mind.” This realization shaped her purpose and is now the cornerstone of her coaching and leadership philosophy.
“I hope women look within to find their truths,” she shared, emphasizing that wisdom and guidance must come from within rather than from external sources. “We all have our own unique divine wisdom. My heart tells me it’s an abundant world, that my dreams are possible, and that I’m worth it.”
Surrender as Inspired Action
One of the biggest misconceptions Jessica addressed is about surrender. “Surrender is not doing nothing,” she clarified. “It’s not acting from a place of fear or control. It’s inspired action.”
By letting go of the need to control every outcome and instead taking purposeful, trust-filled steps, Jessica believes individuals can create lives aligned with love, joy, and abundance.
Leading with Passion
Jessica also spoke directly to the next generation of female leaders, encouraging them to break free from burnout and scarcity thinking. “Do what you love. Life is too short. Whatever dream is in your heart is there because it’s possible.”
She stressed the importance of self-prioritization and challenging the traditional nine-to-five work model, which often doesn’t support women’s well-being. “You have to choose yourself, your health, and your dreams—no one else will advocate for you the way you can.”
Finding Purpose Through Curiosity
Jessica’s book is a guide for uncovering purpose in a practical, spiritually inclined way. For those struggling to identify what they truly love, Jessica suggests becoming a “curious detective” of their own lives.
“Ask your heart daily: What do I truly love? Then notice what resonates and try things out,” she advised. This approach transforms the search for purpose into an empowering, exploratory practice.
Inspired by Community
For Jessica, her work with the Women’s Purpose Community is her dream. Reflecting on the impact of the community, she shared, “We just had our seventh annual retreat. They inspire me—they truly inspire me. The ways they are focused on themselves, the brave, bold choices they make, inspire me.”
By creating a space where women can embrace their authenticity and make empowered decisions, Jessica continues to fulfill her mission of guiding others from fear to love.
Jessica Joines’ journey is a powerful reminder that we all have the ability to break free from fear and step into our true potential. By trusting our inner truths, embracing vulnerability, and making conscious choices, we can create lives filled with purpose, joy, and abundance.
